This tool is designed following recommended practices for free-machining steel, with a 4-flute structure that supports slotting and general milling. The lack of a corner radius means edge chipping prevention depends on coating and flute design, making it better suited for steady, continuous cuts over interrupted or highly abrasive operations.
Avoid using this end mill on Non-Ferrous (ISO N) materials, as the TiAlN Extreme coating is not well matched and would quickly wear out. Its design and coating ensure optimal performance when confined to steel and cast iron groups.
