Applications

This CNMG432-VM PC5400 insert supports cutting speeds from 82 to 525 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.004 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for interrupted cutting and roughing operations, making it suitable for demanding machining conditions. It is optimized for ISO material groups P35-P45 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary suitability for M30-M40 (stainless steel), K30-K35 (cast iron), and S25-S35 (HRSA/titanium). The negative rake chipbreaker and robust geometry provide excellent edge strength and stability during interrupted cuts, but it is not intended for fine finishing or profiling operations.
