Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.001 to 0.006 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.157 in. These parameters enable precise control for finishing and light semi-finishing operations. The small 1/64″ nose radius is ideal for achieving excellent surface finishes in stable cutting conditions. Designed for ISO material group N (Non-ferrous metals), this insert excels in continuous cutting applications. It is best suited for finishing aluminum, copper alloys, and other non-ferrous materials where minimizing cutting force and heat is critical. Interrupted cutting is not supported due to the positive rake and delicate edge strength.
