Applications

Cutting speeds range from 295 to 492 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.011 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.142 in. This insert supports heavy interrupted cutting and roughing operations within these parameters. The small 1/64″ nose radius suits finishing to light semi-finishing cuts with good surface finish. This insert is designed primarily for ISO M25-M35 stainless steel materials. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for roughing and heavy interrupted cutting in stainless steel, offering moderate edge strength and low cutting forces. It is not recommended for heavy roughing or severe interrupted cuts beyond the specified limits.
