Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.001 to 0.002 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.012 in. The very fine 0.002″ nose radius is ideal for light finishing cuts with continuous cutting conditions. It is designed for machining ISO groups P30-P40 (steel) primarily, with secondary suitability for M20-M30 (stainless steel), K20-K25 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). Its positive rake geometry and general cutting application make it best for finishing and semi-finishing operations, avoiding heavy interrupted cuts.
