Applications

This DCMT turning insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.002 to 0.010 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.098 in. These parameters enable efficient continuous to general cutting operations. The insert is designed for ISO material groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) primarily, with secondary suitability for M10-M20 (Stainless steel) and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its positive rake chipbreaker and 55° diamond shape make it ideal for profiling and copy turning but limit its use to continuous cutting, avoiding interrupted cuts due to the insert’s geometry and edge strength.
