Applications

This CCMT insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.003 to 0.010 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is suitable for general to interrupted cutting operations within these parameters. The insert is designed for machining ISO P30-P35 steels primarily, with secondary capability in M20-M30 stainless steels, K30 cast irons, and S15-S25 heat-resistant superalloys and titanium. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing applications, including light interrupted cuts, but it is not intended for heavy roughing or severe interrupted cuts.
