Applications

This CNMG431-VM NC3030 insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.002 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for medium to low speed roughing with general to interrupted cutting applications. It is optimized for ISO material groups P25-P35 (steel) and M25-M35 (stainless steel). The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and durability, making it well suited for interrupted cuts and heavier roughing passes in steel and stainless steel. This insert is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling operations.
