Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds from 0.009 to 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting and medium-low speed roughing operations. The 1/32″ nose radius balances surface finish with edge strength for versatile production use. It is suitable for ISO material groups P25-P35 (steel) and M25-M35 (stainless steel). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust edge make it ideal for roughing and interrupted cuts, especially on steel and stainless steel, but it is not intended for precision finishing or profiling.
