Applications

This CNMG432-B25 NC3120 insert supports cutting speeds from 525 to 984 sfm, feeds from 0.009 to 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for general cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 in. The insert is optimized for ISO material groups P20 to P25, primarily steel grades. Its negative rake and robust edge make it suitable for medium to rough turning and facing operations, including interrupted cuts and heavy cuts on steel. The 80° diamond shape and 1/32″ nose radius provide a balance of edge strength and surface finish, ideal for production OD turning and facing of forgings and castings with scale.
