Applications

Cutting speeds range from 427 to 820 sfm, with feeds between 0.010 and 0.030 in/rev and depths of cut up to 0.315 in. This insert supports medium to low-speed roughing with general to interrupted cutting applications. It is designed for use in external turning and heavy boring bar setups. This insert is optimized for ISO P25-P35 steels as the primary material group and M25-M35 stainless steels as secondary. Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it well suited for interrupted cuts and medium to rough turning, but it is not intended for precision finishing or profiling operations.
