Applications

This CNMG turning insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds between 0.010 and 0.028 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.315 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting operations, accommodating a wide range of machining conditions. The insert excels in medium to rough turning and facing, including production OD turning and facing of forgings and castings with scale. It is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P35 (steel), M20-M30 (stainless steel), K30 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust edge strength make it ideal for interrupted cuts and heavier machining, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling operations.
