Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds up to 700 sfm, feed rates from 0.008 to 0.024 ipr, and depths of cut up to 0.276 inches. The maximum depth of cut is limited to 0.276 inches, with feed and speed ranges suitable for finishing and semi-finishing operations. It is designed primarily for ISO material groups P and M, making it ideal for stainless steel and heat-resistant alloys. The positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape provide low cutting forces, suitable for thin-wall components and low-rigidity setups. This insert is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or roughing but excels in continuous cutting applications requiring good edge strength and contouring.
