Castrol Syntilo® 9913 is an oil-rejecting synthetic fluid specifically formulated for machining and grinding aerospace aluminum and other aerospace alloys. Unlike traditional synthetic fluids, it has a neutral pH to prevent staining of sensitive aerospace alloys and promote operator acceptance. It contains a combination of surfactant chemistries that offer superior lubrication and excellent cooling properties. The severe machining capabilities of Syntilo® 9913 make it an excellent choice for other aluminum alloys as well, especially when diamond tooling is used. Approved by Boeing and Airbus for aluminum alloys.

Technical Data

  • The recommended minimum operating concentration for all applications is 6%.
  • A 6% concentration of Syntilo® 9913 will effectively protect ferrous machine tools from corrosion.
Recommended Applications & Dilutions
  • Grinding: 6 – 8%
  • Machining: 6 – 10%

Notes

  • To avoid product deterioration always keep the container/drum tightly sealed. Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Prevent exposure to frost and avoid water ingress. For optimum product stability, it is preferable to store the product indoors between 5°C and 45°C / 41°F and 113°F.
