Applications

This CNMG642-GR NC3120 insert performs well within cutting speeds of 525 to 984 sfm, feeds from 0.008 to 0.028 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.394 in. It is designed for general cutting with a strong capability for interrupted cuts and roughing operations. It is optimized for ISO P20-P25 steel materials, making it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing tasks. Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and high metal removal rates, but it is not suited for precision finishing or thin-wall workpieces.
