Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds between 0.007 and 0.018 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is suitable for general to interrupted cutting operations within these parameters. The insert is designed for ISO material groups P30-P35 (Steel) as the primary application and M20-M30 (Stainless steel) as secondary, also applicable to K30 (Cast iron) and S15-S25 (HRSA/Titanium). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust edge make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, including interrupted cuts, but it is not suited for precision finishing or profiling. Interrupted cutting is fully supported with this insert.
