Applications

The YG1 33573TN 1/4″ diameter, 1/2″ length of cut, 4 flute TiN solid carbide finishing end mill is crafted for machining tasks demanding a stub length of cut, delivering rigidity and precision. Its 30° helix angle along with four flutes provides a well-balanced combination of chip evacuation and cutting edge strength, ideal for general milling of free-machining steel and related materials. The TiN coating enhances wear resistance and minimizes built-up edge, extending tool life in steel applications. This tool’s geometry and coating pairing aligns with recommended practices for slotting and general milling in low carbon steels, where the 4-flute design supports effective chip control without compromising rigidity.
